Participate in a regional business collaborative for collective action.

How to Support

Your Region

 1.

Participate in “consortium-sponsored child care” by joining forces with other employers to finance child care run by a contracted operator.

 2.

Sponsor a contracted slots model to increase opportunities for high-quality child care and provide stability for child care providers in your local neighborhood.

 3.

Invest in expanding or improving facilities; consider “flipping” extra facility space into child care facilities to serve employees’ children and putting child care employees on the company’s payroll; both of these options can offer tax incentives.

 4.

Participate in a "regional business collaborative" for peer-to-peer support, research and information-sharing, and collective advocacy.

Celebrate peer businesses that are doing good work supporting employees and the child care sector — i.e. “Champions for Child Care.”

Check back here soon for more details and resources on how to implement these strategies.
